A Sacred Journey in the Divine Volition: Living the Lenten Offerings

As we stand on the threshold of Lent, beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18th, we are invited to a retreat of the heart that transcends mere human effort. This 46-day journey in the Divine Will is designed to help the soul leave behind the “tangled web” of fallen human thoughts and soar in the eternal, light of the Divine Volition.

Drawing from the Vatican-approved revelations of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta, these daily offerings were compiled by the same priest who authored “The Calling of the Passion of Mary and Jesus”. They serve as a guide for the soul to “fuse” every moment of the day with the Passion of Our Lord, making a true return of love for all He has suffered.

The Rhythm of the Divine Fiat

To live this practice is to enter into a continuous act of reparation and love. Each day, including Sundays, follow these sacred steps:

The Opening Act: Begin by reciting the Opening Prayer to step out of your own human will and hide yourself within the light of the Divine Volition. By doing so, you make Jesus’ acts your own and circulate through all time – past, present, and future – to offer Him the love of every creature.

The Blessing of Love: Every daily reflection concludes with the phrase, “we bless You (always together with Our Lady) and for all”. This is not a solitary prayer; it is a fusion with the Celestial Mama’s own maternal “Yes”. This practice is rooted in the First Hour of the Passion, when Jesus sought Mary’s blessing as a “shelter” and “comfort” against the blasphemies of the world.

  • The Daily Reflection: Open the page for the current day and take the single line provided to “think with love” upon it throughout your hours.

  • Continuous Prayer: Let that one line become the very rhythm of your breath. Do not rush; simply desire that the Angels carry this intention to every corner of the earth to gather in souls for the Kingdom.

  • The Closing: Conclude your day by repeating the Seven Last Words in the Divine Will and the Final Offerings, sealing your day in the Heart of Christ.

Prepare for Your Lenten Journey

By taking just “one drop” of the Passion each day, we allow the Divine Will to saturate our lives. We reflect on the profound mysteries of His suffering, from His precious blood and many tears to His sacred body sagging upon the nails. In every word and every reflection, the goal remains the same: “Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”.
